Forty of our performing arts specialists have just spent two days taking part in workshops in the West End based around Les Miserables.

The girls took part in three workshops with members of the cast and directors who work with the producer of Les Mis, Cameron Mackintosh. They also saw the London production of the musical at the Queen's Theatre, Shaftsbury Avenue, went backstage and on stage at the theatre and even tried on costumes from the show.

It was a very successful couple of days and the workshop leader said that he "was unbelievably impressed" with the work of our students. On leaving the theatre after the workshop he said to members of the Performing Dept staff that "you have a bunch of very special pupils here".

We of course agreed!
