2017 Jack Petchey Speak Out Challenge
Year 10 students enjoyed the annual Jack Petchey “Speak Out” Challenge training workshops on Thursday 28th September 2017. Students were given inspirational training from Sarah and Jenny from the Speakers Trust. They had to deliver speeches with their content being judged on using original ideas, interesting stories their use of voice and body language. The speeches needed to have a 'hook' at the beginning , carefully crafted content and a message or challenge at the end.
At the end of the workshop 6 students were chosen as school finalists. They will deliver their speeches to the school council where the school council reps will vote for an overall winner to represent the school in the Jack Petchey “Speak Out” regional finals in December.
