The Ellen Wilkinson School sixth form is a thriving community with over 350 students. We currently have 150 students in year 13 studying A level, 170 in year 12 studying AS level and 35 in year 12 who are studying a level 2 vocational course alongside English and Maths GCSE.
We are very proud of the achievements of our students with 48% of last summers A level grades being A*-B grades. This achievement is supported by the value added data that shows our A level result ranking us in the top 20% nationally for the progress made from GCSE to A level. The majority of these students went on to accept university places with 22% gaining places at the prestigious Russell Group of Universities - an outstanding result for an inclusive comprehensive school. The courses of study were varied including 5 students who went on to study medicine, 2 who are now studying dentistry, seven for pharmacy, six on law degrees, ten for Business management, six studying mathematics and Darya Keivani who gained a place to study Architecture at Cambridge University.
The Ellen Wilkinson Sixth Form is a diverse and exciting place for girls to continue their studies after the age of 16. These pages will contain information about every aspect of Sixth Form life plus details on how and when to apply for a place.
On the Courses page you will find a list of the subjects available in the Sixth Form and also a link to the Sixth Form Enrolment Form.
