Weekly update - Year 6-7 transition

Dear Year 6s,

I’m sure, like me, you are looking forward to the end of term in a couple of weeks.   I know many of you will have mixed feelings as your time at primary school comes to an end.  You will be no doubt a little sad to say goodbye to classmates and teachers but also excited about the next chapter as you look forward to joining us here at EWS in September!  I hope you all get a chance to rest over the summer and that you use your time off to relax and get ready for the new challenges ahead.  We’ll all be hoping the summer weather is kind to us and that we can enjoy some time outdoors.   Try to avoid spending too much time looking at screens!  Spending time with your family and friends in the fresh air is healthier and much more fun!

The American author Henry James once wrote “Summer afternoon, summer afternoon; to me, those have always been the two most beautiful words in the English language.”

I hope you have a lovely summer and we look forward to welcoming you here in September.
